This is the first book about the 'society' where BDSM ia a way of life. Sexualy explicit but fascinating to read this book tells the story of a relationship between an older experienced man and a young girl who is sold to him as a slave. Set in modern day the book affords the reader a first hand account of the young girls journey into love and total obedience to the master who loves her against the backdrop of a soceity of like minded people in need of a new direction.

Society of Sin Matthew Sexton Books

The characters in SOCIETY of SIN are really wonderful, compassionate, passionate and caring characters. Several of the dominants have known each other for a long time through membership in the society, while their submissives have more recently become acquainted. Both males and females are dominants, but only female submissives were part of the plot. The end of the book left me wanting to know what would come next. I'll look for more from Sexton, but hope the gammar improves. There were so many errors - run on sentences being the most frequent. Maybe a proof reader would really help.

Society of Sin Matthew Sexton Books Reviews

The hottest thing about this book (IMO) is the book cover and the second hottest thing about it is the product description. I am wondering if someone else wrote the description for the author because inside the book the writing isn't very good. The book definitely needs editing. It reads like a choppy rough draft because of the numerous grammatical errors. The book contains Master/slave as well as several f/f scenes. This book was not what I expected. I even went back and reread the product description to make sure I was reading the correct book on my kindle. Save your money!
this is a follow up to the book Society of Sin, where the 'author' of the previous book visits many of the characters from that book again after 4 years have passed. this book and its predecessor are adult in content and may make some people uncomfortable with how many of these people's lifestyle (dominance and submission) is presented.
The reading was erotic to a degree. Total fantasy from a mans sexual point of view. Entertaining for a bedroom book.
It is really hard for modern writers who are not in the 'lifestyle' to write a story that works in all the elements of the mental, emotional, and physical needs of a submissive. This does a reasonable job without getting caught up in the victim mentality. The main character goes from an abusive household to a supportive one where she has a place and purpose. The fact that she then falls in love with her new 'master' is a side benefit to thier relationship where he is the controller of all aspects to her life, by her choice. This book is adult in nature. It's subject matter is the dominance/submissive lifestyle.

There was a recent edit done on the text, so many typographical errors were corrected.

So let's get this out of the way. You need to know and understand this book is FULL of grammatical errors and unless you truly can't see them they will bother you. I rarely ever mention these - nor do I take off for this in my rating most of the time but here it was incomplete sentences, run on sentences, and just general no sense making whatsoever sometimes.

I rated it I liked it because, much like a runaway train, I could not take my eyes off of this and I read way later than I planned. The Master (H) and slave were well characterized (I cannot remember her name but most of the time she was "this slave" or "your slave" so that's not so surprising) and surprisingly robust. The story was interesting - a world within our world. There is no discussion really about what drew the slave to this lifestyle and only glimpses of who she might have been before. I felt like sometimes when something modern was mentioned (e.g. texting) it was sort of a face slap with a "oh yeah this is supposed to be in the present day!"

The relationship evolves slowly - and I do mean slowly to some degree. You do get time to absorb and process things as they happen. However I had some issues with Master H. He treats her very much like a princess but then he does things and says things that don't make sense in that context. Sometimes he treated her more as a sub or girlfriend and other times a slave. My head kind of spun on that.

The whole Master C thing that happened about 70% in was contrived and just added length but no depth to the book IMHO. I dislike adding a villain to make the good guy look better or holding on to a villain beyond that which serves a real purpose other than drama.

I picked this up free. I do think it is an interesting read. I myself did not find the sex scenes or punishment type scenes too arousing. Typically CP will get me all sorts of hot and bothered. I just felt they didn't get enough time nor were the characters emotions as they run through them put out there. I do have to caveat that with saying the f/f scenes were the hottest of them all - but those are not my kink so not so much helpful to me. I like to feel, experience, believe, I am there with them enjoying or suffering too. I didn't feel that here in the scenes I am most interested in (CP).

So we come to the end of the review -and I settled on 4 stars. My head kept saying 2 but then my emotions were reminding me I did like parts of the journey - and I did like how things evolved - that enough time was given to show this without appearing rushed. I liked how the slaves were encouraged to have talents and skills and work on them. I liked how the society was changing to reflect 21st century needs. There was surprising depth to this aspect of the book - and I think that is the reason I would recommend it to read for folks that are interested. If you just want left hand material - for me this wasn't it. If you have patience and want a glimpse of the way things may be in this lifestyle then give it a go. Although I wouldn't say I'm "in" the lifestyle I do participate in activities -- but primarily club or individual based and not Master/slave oriented. It does make me curious though!
Is more of a slave/master relationship.
There is not much information on the slavery contracts and the society itself.
It is basically a group of people involved in BDSM, having their pets running around hosting their parties.
There is one relationship that moves into a more solid love story but it still remains within their boundaries.
It's an interesting book, and deserves extra points for the great erotic scenes
